§ 70-57. Parking of oversized vehicles.

  • (a)

    Standing and parking prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to stand or park any truck, tractor, semitractor, semitrailer, trailer, camping trailer, motor home, or bus on any street for a longer period than is necessary for the reasonably expeditious loading or unloading of such vehicle.

    (b)

    Coupling and uncoupling prohibited. No uncoupling or coupling of any truck, tractor, semitractor, semitrailer, trailer, camping trailer, motor home, or bus is allowed on Village streets.

    (c)

    Exemptions. This Section shall not apply to any pickup truck or van whose extreme overall length does not exceed 235 inches and whose body width, excluding mirrors or similar accessories, does not exceed 80 inches.

    (d)

    Penalties; continuing violation. Any person who violates this Section shall be fined $150.00 for the first offense and $750.00 for each subsequent offense. Each day or portion thereof during which a vehicle is parked in violation of this Section shall be considered a separate offense.
