§ 74-517. Antenna support structure requirements.

  • Antenna support structures in any district zoned residential shall comply with the following requirements:

    (1)

    Restrictions. Each lot of record shall have no more than one antenna support structure which shall not exceed a maximum height of 35 feet from the curb level, and shall have a permanent attachment to the ground or a building. The permanent base of any such antenna support structure shall not exceed an area of nine square feet.

    (2)

    Location and setbacks. Antenna support structures, including guy wires, foundations, anchors, and other components of the structure, shall only be permitted in the rear yard of any lot and must meet the same minimum setbacks as those required for accessory buildings in the applicable residential districts.

    (3)

    Maintenance. Antenna support structures shall at all times be kept in good repair. Any antenna support structures that, due to damage, lack of repair, or other circumstances, have become unstable, lean significantly out-of-plumb, or pose a danger of collapse, shall be removed or brought into repair.
